A STRONG EXPERIENCE SINCE 1950

CIACAM was founded in 1950 by Samson Cherqui, a native of Algeria and of several generations in the production and trading of pulses.

CIACAM shares its activities between international trade and the sale of pulses to the agri-food industry. As an exclusive specialist in these products, CIACAM has a strong knowledge of the products it markets.

Leading importer of pulses in France, guaranteeing a high level of quality to its entire range of products sold, CIACAM acquired a key player position in the market. The company has two production sites: one located in Vitrolles (13-south of France) and the other in Merville (59-north of France), allowing a fast delivery to its customers.

CIACAM has been involved for several years in the development of the french pulses industry in partnership with the main french cooperatives, 
as well as private partners.

To date, nearly 40% of the volumes produced in our factories are french products.
These partnerships have enabled us to develop the french organic farming industry with a complete range of products that are increasingly sought after by our customers. These "made in France" are more and more appreciated by the consumer and to allow CIACAM to guarantee proximity, reliability and security.
This approach is also part of sustainable development with a reduction in our carbon footprint.

QUALITY & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Our company CIACAM is committed to a quality approach. The aim of this strategy is to satisfy the demands of our increasingly demanding customers in the regulatory framework and the continuous improvement of our performance.
Rigor is necessary to ensure the constant reliability of our relationship with the customer.

The quality system we have set up since 2006 is the tool of this policy. This allows us to improve our working methods, to optimize our technical and human means, to be efficient. One objective is to give our customers products that are safe and that meet the specifications. Management is committed to implementing the means and actions for this strategy.

CIACAM also undertakes to pursue this quality policy by ensuring that the means necessary to achieve the objectives set are mobilized and by ensuring the effectiveness of our quality approach, in particular through training and annual interviews. CIACAM has also become aware of the new challenges and new threats linked to its industrial activity and is committed to a security approach.

Moreover, since 2006 the Merville plant is accredited GMP Belgian and Dutch for animal feed.
The implementation of this quality policy has enabled the achievement of IFS certification, guaranteeing the delivery of safe products ensuring consumer safety, but also the development towards the private label market. The achievement of the IFS VERSION 6 certification will make it possible to continue this process and ensure the safety of our products. The management has signed through its adherence to the ADEPALE an ethics charter indicating that the suppliers with whom the company works respect the rules of international ethics. Thus the company ensures the moral quality of its employees.
In recent years, the quality policy also includes the environmental aspect. Progressive improvement and implementation of an environmental approach A. Integration in the process of continuous improvement of quality, quality of work and working environment.
Our packaging suppliers undertake through an environmental certificate to eco-design packaging.
Moreover, the development of local purchases in France is also part of a desire for sustainable development with a reduction in the distances traveled by the merchandise and therefore a reduction in the carbon footprint of the products and a genuine exchange with producers.
